Feedback for Suzanne

"Suzanne treated me for a mysterious running  injury, which turned out to be a tear in my hamstring. Through 3 sessions  of Chinese massage and acupuncture she was skilled, kind, funny and an excellent listener. I laughed a lot, even during some moments of considerable pain! The whole experience was healing on many levels. I'm running again now, but will now doubt be back for the occasional tune-up session. Thanks so much, Suzanne".

"I am very happy that I took Suzanne's massage and acupuncture during my marathon training. My body is usually quite quick in recovery, but with a huge amount of running that I'd never done before, I started to feel pain in my legs regularly. Massage really helped to remove tightness from my legs and I believe this prevented any damage done to my body. I think the combination of massage and acupuncture was ideal as when you are training for a marathon, not only your muscles but also your internal organs are tired and acupuncture helped the body to regain the balance.

Although we're trying to raise awareness in our club about the importance of stretching etc, I'm still horrified that some runners don't look after their body enough and they don't get injury because of a pure luck. As the next year's London marathon's entry is open now, there are quite a few friends who are expressing their interest and to them, I always stress the importance of looking after our bodies and recommending the Garden Health Practice....."

"I started having acupuncture a year ago to see if it would help the pain in my feet caused by arthritis. I have also regularly been doing the exercises that Suzanne gave me. At my last hospital appointment the consultant commented on how much the inflammation in my feet had reduced and that there had not been any further deterioration of the condition.  I have also been able to completely come off the pain killers. I intend to keep having acupuncture as part of my pain management.

I recommend Suzanne as a knowledgeable practitioner, for those who have had acupuncture before and also those considering trying it for the first time".

Feedback for Graeme

"I have a recurring calf problem due to one leg being slightly longer than the other. This leads to a gradual build up of pain and solidity in the muscle which cannot be easily solved with my 2 weekly massage sessions (I race triathlon at GB age group standard). Graeme Waterworth, at the London Marathon store, solved this issue with two sessions of acupuncture. I heartily recommend the service that Graeme provides".

"I recently saw Graeme at the Garden Health practice to treat knee pain which had been bothering me for some time. I am a keen runner and was very frustrated as the injury had prevented me from training properly. I had tried various stretching exercises and muscle relief products but they hadn’t helped. I was aware that Graeme had been to America to learn some new stretching and strengthening techniques and I was interested to see if they could be used to help me.

Initially Graeme targeted the key areas of my legs to identify where my areas of weakness were. The exercises were unlike any stretching I had done before, Graeme applied resistance which also tested the strength of the muscles. I found it had immediate benefit, I could feel the range of motion improving even during the session.

Graeme then gave me a selection of stretches to do myself to keep my muscular flexibility and strength before my next appointment with him. These also targeted specific muscles to reduce the pressure on my knee.

Since the session I have found my knee pain has significantly reduced and I can feel the difference the stretches have made when I run. I will be seeing Graeme again and would happily recommend his stretching and stretching program to anyone that has suffered from chronic leg pain or just wants to improve their running and reduce their chances of injury".

"I recently saw Graeme at Garden Health as I was preparing for my first marathon and seemed to be accumulating various niggling injuries by the day. The stretches and strengthening exercises he took me through targeted the problem areas far more accurately than anything else I had been given and made a noticeable difference straight away. After following these at home and in follow up sessions, I have loads more flexibility and have been running much more strongly and easily.

I've also really benefited from the combination of massage and acupuncture with the stretching. I can't claim that the massage was 100% pain free but its loosened up sore muscles far far more effectively than anything else I've tried and definitely gets easier!

I'd definitely recommend these sessions. Graeme has always been very friendly and helpful and takes the time to make sure you know exactly what he's doing and why. He's always been available to answer questions and he's been a great support through my training".
